We're giving away A Free hvac system to a local family in need.

We believe in the strength of our community and the importance of giving back. As winter approaches, we recognize the significance of a warm and cozy home, especially for those facing financial challenges. That’s why we are excited to introduce Childress Gives Back, our HVAC System Giveaway program, designed to provide comfort and warmth to a local family in need.

We understand that not everyone in our community has access to a functioning heating and cooling system. The extreme temperatures of summer and winter can be particularly harsh for those without a reliable HVAC system. Our give-back program is our way of extending a helping hand to a deserving family, making their lives a little more comfortable, and ensuring they have a safe and cozy home environment.

Help us find the right family!

Nominate a Family: We invite you, our valued community members, to nominate yourself or a family in need of a new HVAC system.

Whether they’re facing financial hardship, have an outdated unit, or simply need assistance, we want to hear their story. 

You may nominate a person or a family by filling out the form below or emailing: [email protected] or by mailing your nomination to our office at 1101 AL-77, Southside, AL 35907, or by dropping your nomination by our office. 

Nominations for the new system must be received no later than 5PM CST on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Our team will carefully review all nominations and select a recipient whose situation aligns with the goals of this giveaway. The selected family will be announced on Thursday, November 21, 2024.

Rules & Regulations

Give Back is closed for the 2024 Season. Thank you to all that participated!

Please make sure your nominations meet the following requirements:
  • The recipient of the new system must own and live in their own home within our service area.
  • The recipient must be a legal resident of the United States.
  • The recipient’s home must be structurally sound and include systems (electrical, etc.) to support the new system.
  • The recipients home must have existing duct work and a current HVAC system in place. 
  • A prospective recipient must allow our technicians to inspect the home to make sure all aspects of the new system will function properly within the structure.
Rules for entry:
  • This is not a contest, and there is no purchase necessary.
  • Our system giveaway is designed to provide a new HVAC system at no cost to a person or family in need who owns and lives in their home.
  • The system being awarded is a Package System (one unit which contains both the compressor and air handler).  
  • The homeowner must live within our service area, as is generally defined as within 30 miles of our office in Southside, AL
  • A person or homeowner may nominate themselves.
  • The entry period for making a nomination to receive a new system begins at 8AM CST on Monday, October 7, 2024, and ends at 5PM CST on Friday, November 15, 2024.
  • The recipient of the new system will be chosen by Childress Heating and Cooling, whose decision is final.
  • A recipient of the new system will be announced on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
  • All applicable laws and regulations stipulated by the United States and the State of Alabama will be followed.
